ISRAEL: Seventy years and counting!

May 14, 1948 ISRAEL BECAME A NATION

70 YEARS LATER . . .

May 14, 2018 JERUSALEM BECOMES THE SITE OF THE U.S. EMBASSY

Is the 70th anniversary of the re-birth of modern day Israel and the U.S. officially recognizing Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel just another coincidence? Probably.

On the other hand there is an interesting prophecy that was uttered from the lips of the Lord Jesus Christ . . . and it may be more significant than most of us are aware: “Now learn a parable of the fig tree: When its branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near; So likewise, when you shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, THIS GENERATION SHALL NOT PASS, TILL ALL THESE THINGS BE FULFILLED.” Matthew 24:32-34

Throughout Scripture, the fig tree is symbolic of the nation of Israel. In Matthew 24 Jesus was simply saying that when you see the rebirth of the nation of Israel (” . . . when its branch is yet tender, and puts forth leaves”) you can be aware that the seasons of prophetic fulfillment is near. Then the astounding claim by Jesus was that the generation of people living at that time shall not all pass away until other significant and prophetic events are fulfilled.  Specifically, I believe that He was referring to His Coming for His Bride (Rapture) which “no man knows the day or the hour” . . . (Matthew 24:32-34)

BE READY!  Jesus is coming!
