Israel's Greatest Threat

ISRAEL'S GREATEST THREAT!

ISRAEL IS FIGHTING HAMAS FOR THEIR VERY EXISTANCE BUT THEIR GREATEST THREAT LIES IN A MUCH LARGER CONFLICT. On the map below, notice how many armies already have a strong presence in Syria:

As Israel fights against their arch enemies on the Gaza Strip, an even greater threat lies in a future coalition of armies from Syria, Lebanon, Turkey, Iran and Afghanistan (ancient Persia) . . . plus RUSSIA! The future conflict in the Middle East is detailed for us by the Old Testament prophet Ezekiel. Ezekiel chapter 38 lists Israel's invading enemies and details the battle that will take place:

Ezekiel 38:15-16 - "And you will come from your place out of the far north, you and many peoples with you, all of them riding on horses, a great company and a mighty army. You will come up against My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It will be in the latter days that I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me, when I am hallowed in you, O Gog, before their eyes."

The Scriptures go on to declare - "For in My jealousy and in the fire of My wrath I have spoken: 'Surely in that day there shall be a great earthquake in the land of Israel, so that the fish of the sea, the birds of the heavens, the beasts of the field, all creeping things that creep on the earth, and all men who are on the face of the earth shall shake at My presence. The mountains shall be thrown down, the steep places shall fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground." Ezekiel 38:19-20

Is God describing a time of future holocaust . . . perhaps nuclear warfare?

Ezekiel also foretold that the invading army will turn against itself and destroy itself: "'I will call for a sword against Gog throughout all My mountains' says the Lord GOD. 'Everyman's sword will be against his brother.'" Ezekiel 38:21

NUCLEAR CONFLICT?

But even more astounding is what the Lord declared through His prophet - "And I will send fire on Magog and on those who live in securely in the coastlands (beyond the sea). Then they shall know that I am the LORD." Ezekiel 39:6

Who are the people who live securely beyond the sea? I believe Revelation chapter 18 gives us the answer. An end-time nation that is called "Babylon" is described as being very wealthy and is the great consumer of all the products of planet earth. End time Babylon will apparently enter into a terrible hour of conflict with Gog of the land of Magog (Russia) and be TOTALLY DESTROYED IN ONE HOUR!

Take a few minutes and read Revelation chapter 18 . . . who is this end-time Babylon? We don't know for sure, but her description as the consumer of the world's products with many sea ports is pretty sobering.
