DOES IT REALLY MATTER?

Darwin’s book is subtitled “The Preservation of Favored Races in the Struggle for Life.” Darwin’s book is clearly racist in it’s ideology . . . and the embracing of the theory of evolution has infected the entire society of England and far beyond. Morality has been replaced by secular humanism and the result will be increased lawlessness.
“Let’s not argue about non-essentials.” This is the cry of many people today including Christian leaders and pastors all over the world who think the Evolution / Creation debate is blown way out of proportion.
QUESTION: Is the debate about Evolution and Creation really a “non-essential”?
Apparently God thought it was a pretty important subject . . . He spoke of those who refused to believe in the Creator when He declared — “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning (uniformatarianism) . . . for thisthey are willingly ignorant, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water, By which the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished. But the heavens and the earth which are now, by the same Word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.” 2 Peter 3:3-7
God related end-time scoffers with the sins of lusts or immorality. The people who would ridicule Creation and the world-wide flood would also ridicule the idea of moral absolutes, a future day of judgment and even the coming of Christ. He called these unbelievers “willingly ignorant” which simply means “dumb on purpose.” The Lord apparently didn’t know much about political correctness!
Is Creation really worth arguing about?
It is sad but true . . . we have an entire generation of millennials and young people growing up that have written off the God of the Bible because of the teaching of evolution. Students are taught by evolutionary philosophers that the Bible is irrelevant because it doesn’t line up with modern scientific thought. The tactics that Satan used in the Garden of Eden still work. The avowed enemy of God and man asked Eve — “Has God said?” And then he went into the full denial of truth when he declared — God has not said . . . “You shall not surely die.” Genesis 3:4
My wife, JoEllen, and I were visiting a church in Colorado Springs some time ago and the pastor was speaking on Noah and the universal flood. A teen aged girl a couple of rows in front of us turned to her mother with a mocking smirk and said — “Do you really believe in this stuff?” I was hoping the pastor would reveal that if today’s world surface was flat . . . no high mountains and no deep ocean valleys . . . there would be nearly 8,800 feet of water all over the globe! That’s a lot of water . . . over a mile and a half deep! Before the flood, there were hills and valleys but apparently nothing like we see today. There is evidence that the high mountains we see (like Pikes Peak out my front window) were thrust upward in the not to distant past. The flood waters that destroyed all of life except for Noah’s family and the animals on the ark ran off into the deep recesses of the ocean that were formed after the flood rains stopped, cutting deep canyons like the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona.
Many if not most churches avoid “controversial topics” such as six-day literal Creation, the World-wide Flood, and even the sanctity of life. What a tragedy that churches refuse to stand up and herald the truth and as a result, many of their people never come to the truth of salvation by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ! Failure to DECLARE the truth is equivalent to DENYING the truth. Yes, when it comes to the darkness of society because of the teaching of evolution, I blame the silence of the church more than the philosophical professors in our colleges!
The teaching of evolution as “scientific fact” has led multitudes of young people away from embracing the truths of the Bible and the result is the catastrophic events we are witnessing in our “enlightened” society.
THE SLIPPERY SLOPE OF DESTRUCTION:
The first chapter of the Book of Romans warns us about the danger of unbelief and denial of the Creator — “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold (suppress) the truth in unrighteousness.” Romans 1:19 The Bible goes on to declare that all men are “without excuse” because the ” . . . invisible things of God from creation of the world are clearly seen” . . . to observe the beauty and complexity of life and say there was NO DESIGNER or NO GOD . . . is not only foolishness . . . it is deadly! God couldn’t be any more clear than in His warning to all of us when He stated — “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.” Romans 1:22 Psalm 14:1 repeats this solemn warning —The fool has said in his heart there is NO GOD.” Furthermore, the danger of unbelief in the Creator leads to a downward path of personal and social destruction:
DOWNWARD STEP #1 — “God gives them over to immorality”
After warning man of the sin of unbelief, the Bible declares that God simply lets man go his own way . . . and it is the way of self destruction. “Wherefore, God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonor their own bodies between themselves, Who exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature more than the Creator . . . ” Romans 1:24
DOWNWARD STEP #2 — “God gives them over to perversion”
When man’s immoral lifestyle is not confessed and forsaken, God again let’s mankind go their own way . . . another step downward: “For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections, for even their women did exchange the natural use for that which is against nature; And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men, working that which is unseemly (shameful / an abomination), and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error . . . ” Romans 1:26-28
Today it is unpopular and may soon become unlawful to proclaim the wickedness of the LGBT lifestyle. To decry the sinfulness of perversion will undoubtedly one-day be declared a hate crime. God’s heart must break when the majority of society believes that good is evil and evil is good . . . but that is the world we are living in. Our beloved nation (and the rest of modern civilization) has already stepped down to the lowest rung of civil abomination and from this point we are in a moral free-fall into utter darkness and destruction.
DOWNWARD STEP #3 — “God gives them over to a reprobate mind.”
The Bible warns us that when man denies the Creator, God lets them go downward into immorality . . . when immorality becomes the accepted lifestyle, again, God lets man go downward into perversion . . . and when perversion becomes the approved and accepted standard for conduct, God lets them go downward to the depraved and reprobate mind. “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind . . . ” Romans 1:28
“Reprobate” is the Greek word “adokimos” which means totally corrupt and worthless. The reprobate mind is a mind that chooses darkness and rejects light . . . a mind that chooses a lie in favor of the truth. A reprobate society is a society that plunges itself into self-destructive darkness. That is the condition of America and most other civilizations today. People chose to kill babies up to and even after the time of birth . . . but they are horrified when an animal is mistreated . . . “kill the babies . . . save the whales” . . . that is a description of the reprobate society.
Is there hope for a reprobate society? The only hope is for a Heaven-sent revival and turning to the God in genuine repentance. I pray for this to happen . . . but what we see around us is not at all encouraging.
Here is something that IS encouraging . . . God is still the God of love and grace! He is ” . . . not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9
“But God showed His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
God became a man . . . Jesus . . . and He was born to die that you and I might LIVE! Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice and paid the full penalty for all our sins when He willingly died upon the cross in our place. If you believe that He died in payment for your sins, call upon Him . . . right now . . . and confess that you are a lost sinner and need a Savior. Invite Jesus Christ to be your Savior . . . and accept the gift of eternal life . . . “For whosoever shall call upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:17
RIOTING IN LONDON where the idea of Evolution got started!
THERE IS A REASON FOR ALL THE RIOTING AND LAWLESSNESS
Riots in London and many major cities all over the world . . . including the USA!
Several nights of rioting in London have led many people to ask WHY . . . WHY is there so much senseless burning and violence? WHY the looting and lawlessness?
During the early days of August 2011 London was a virtual battle ground. Sixteen thousand armed policemen were called in to quell the violence. At least 186 officers were wounded in the unrest and 5 civilians were killed.
Riots in London show a total lack of respect for laws and the properties of others. One of the most disturbing parts of the violence and unrest, was the fact that people of all ages were seen breaking into stores and helping themselves as if they had no conscience or sense
of guilt. Nighttime was like a giant “help yourself party” and the “shoppers” went from store to store until they could carry no more. Some looters resorted to using shopping carts to carry stolen goods to their homes.
As stores in one part of town were burning, rampaging through stores would begin in other parts of the city.
WHY ALL THE LAWLESSNESS?
The fact is, London, like most of Europe and major cities all over the world, has lost its way. The moral compass has been smashed and the evidence is seen in the empty faces, empty churches, and fire filled streets.
Just one hundred years ago the city was blessed by the preaching of some of the finest men of God including Charles Spurgeon. But the day of common decency and restraint seem to be gone.
Throughout England, churches are considered “irrelevant” and the voices of preachers proclaiming life-changing Bible truths have been silenced.
HOW DID THIS ALL BEGIN?
The news media points their fingers at the local police of the poor area of Tottenham as the cause of the rioting. During arrest, a man by the name of Mark Duggan was killed. But his death seems more like an excuse rather than the root cause of the riots.
Others believe that the riots have been long in the making because of the economy and social unrest.
Actually, such lawlessness is the natural result of people who have lost all sense of right or wrong.
WHEN DID THIS ALL BEGIN?

Several years ago, during the celebration of Charles Darwin’s birthday, signs could be seen all over London declaring that there is no God . . . thus people can live any way they please. England has been “liberated from the restraints of Biblical Christianity” . . . and the result is lawless chaos.
Freedom from God billboard.The tragic reality is, the United States of America is rapidly following the pathways of her motherland. The nation has left it moral anchor as it embraces the godless philosophy of Darwinism.
Rioting has become the American “norm” and officials know that more rioting will eventually begin here. Many are amazed that we have not had more civil and racial unrest already.
The violence and lawlessness was not just the work of impoverished teens, but “everyday middle class citizens” became looters and just helped themselves as police were busy trying to control rioting mobs or put out fires.

Many fires were ignited in London by gangs of young people who seemed to start fires just to see the flames and create excitement.
England is the proud birthplace of Charles Darwin who became famous when he published “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection.”
IS THERE HOPE FOR SOCIETY?
